Welcome to Country

This book teaches children an age old custom in Australia that recognizes Aboriginal and Torres Strait people as the first people of this great nation. "Welcome to the lands of the Wurundjeri people", we introduce to children about the Wurundjeri people who are part of the land, their communities across Australia with boundaries defined by mountain ranges and waterways, not by traditional roads and street signs like what we see. Each community has its own way of greeting, but the practice shares a common name: a Welcome to Country.
